Iftikhar Hamdani is the Cluster General Manager for Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman and Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman. He started his career with the company in 2009 when he joined as Director of Sales and Marketing of Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, and later promoted to Executive Assistant Manager.

Iftikhar Hamdani is the Cluster General Manager for Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman and Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman. He started his career with the company in 2009 when he joined as Director of Sales and Marketing of Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, and later promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. Within eight months, he was again promoted to the role of General Manager, bringing several changes in hotel operations and hotel performance, exceeding expectation of the owners and guests.

Hamdani has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He started his career in Pearl Continental Hotel in Pakistan, and then moved in the UAE in 2000, when he joined Coral International Hotels.

While at Ramada, he was named as “Brand Ambassador of Wyndham Hotel Group” due to his active involvement in various charitable and sustainable programmes at the property. Through his groundbreaking environmental initiatives such as the “Zero Landfill Project” and “Urban Farm”, the hotel was nominated as “Best Green Hotel in EMEA” in 2012, and won the “Wyndham Hotel Group’s Green Award” in 2013 and 2014. The hotel also bagged the “Best Hotel with Charity Initiatives in EMEA” in 2012. In 2013, Hamdani was recognised as “Highly Commended CSR Champion of the Year” by Hotelier Middle East.

Iftikhar Hamdani has also been selected as speaker in some of the environmental sustainability conferences, including “Sustainable Development Congress” in April 2012; “Wyndham Brand Meeting” in May 2012; “Ajman Green Economy Conference” in June 2013; “The Outdoor Design, Build & Supply Exhibition” in April  2014; “GCC Ecotourism Conference” in March 2014; and in the “Hotelier Sustainability Summit 2014” in May 2014.

Mark Fernando has more than 30 years of hospitality experience with a proven track record on hotel operations, revenue management and business development. He worked with Starwood Hotels and Resorts for more than 25 years, spanning roles across various properties including deputy general manager at Le Meridien Abu Dhabi; revenue manager at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Resort and Marina; and customer service manager and Royal Club manager at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre.

Arora brings more than 20 years of international industry experience spanning Asia and the GCC. Prior to joining R Hotels he held the title of General Manager at Ramada Downtown Dubai, overseeing all hotel operations and supervision of all departments. He served as Resident Manager at Vida Downtown and preceding this, Executive Assistant Manager and Front Office Manager at Al Manzil Downtown where he spearheaded the rebranding of the property.

His journey through the hospitality ranks also included various positions at Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina, including Assistant Front Office Manager, Training Manager, Assistant F&B Manager, and Restaurant and Bar Manager.

Throughout his distinguished career, the hospitality leader has received and been nominated multiple awards for both himself and the properties he has represented, from Hotelier’s GM of the Year to Trip Advisor’s Travellers Choice Award.

Muhammad Mujtaba Haider is the general manager of ibis Styles Jumeira.  In his role, he leads the daily operations of the 191-key property to guarantee excellent guest experience, and heads the sales and marketing, and food & beverage strategies to ensure healthy occupancy and profitability.  

Haider has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He was the project manager of ibis Styles Jumeira during its pre-opening stage and was later appointed as hotel manager when it launched in September 2015. Prior to this role, he was the executive assistant manager for sales and marketing at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham JBR, and was also the project manager during its pre-opening phase. He also served as head of sales and marketing at Ramada Downtown Dubai. All three properties are owned and operated by the Ajman-based R Hotels.
